There are no methods or means to find God, if that was the case people would no longer have to believe in God. So that (He/She/Them/It) what people call God has to stay illusive yet infinite.

Every person finds God in his own way. Those who bang their heads at the Wailing Wall are no different than those who bow to the east many times a day or those who light candles before a Saint.
The paths to God are many...though this of course bothers many.

God can be found by any means that involves love for each others and that involves also modesty , " banging head on wall " can be a way to show to God your regrets for a lost world of your ancestors and a mute prayer to regain a such world .

I suggest you read couple of books. How about starting with one that is more scientific, such as "Many lives, many masters" by Brian L. Weiss, M.D.
