to you this might seem like a real question. i have never killed a bird that i did not eat. quail and mostly dove. it has been about 27 years since i last hunted but i would still like to go again someday. they really are good when cooked proper. you could ask the same about fish. i love to eat them too. i am sure a bird has killed a man before somehow or another like a man on a motorcycle or some other bizarre accident. they are not smart enough to plan premeditated murder yet. i dont eat men but if times were really tough and there was no other choice, well no telling what might happen. nobody really knows until the time has come what they may or may not do. hunger does strange things to your mind. i would kill a man in my self-defense and most likely if my family was in danger. could happen to help out a perfect stranger. i never thought murdering a man was a good idea. i have felt like killing people but thought it best not to act on it. some may have been lucky i did not find them while i was in the middle of my rage against them. i feel i was lucky also. we are no more and no less than a beast like others that roam the planet. i choose to be civil. what does a bird choose when he finds the worm or the fish or the bug or the field mouse with a family or the small rabbit or snake? your question is quite outlandish

Because in the case of the murder of a man most of the people are thinking this could happen to them or to a person they love , that is not the case with the murder of a bird because most of the people don't have an emotional bound for them.

Because it is nature, the strongest survive. For example, i was driving once and a bird hit my windshield when i was going about 55. I did not mean to do it but i did not stop. If it was a man i would have though, and it probably would have been my fault then. I do not condone torturing and killing animals for pleasure but, lets say i did see it coming so instead i swirved. I probably would have ended up hitting a tree and killing myself. It wasn't worth it.

A bird is a bird, a human is a human, which is truly more important

Nature designed this thing, called a "food chain". Humans are pretty much at the top, and so we as creatures must kill to survive. Look at any animal's teeth- they will show if they were designed to kill other animals or not. Humans have both grinding and piercing teeth, meaning we are meant to eat both plants and animals. Humans are not meant to eat other humans, so from a naturalistic standpoint, the murder of a bird is necessary, while the murder of a human is not.

If you're in need of food and you kill this bird as such. Then ok. If you're just mean and kill the bird for the hell of it, not like dove or turkey hunting, like you really need to kill something and you feel good because it's dead, that's murder. If someone is capable of those feelings towards a bird, how much better would they feel if it was human instead?? Those are sick people.

This sounds like a question I would ask (or like to answer). So I will.

For a bird to murder a man, well they don't care, it's fresh meat!
For a bird to murder a bird, ditto.
For a man murdering a bird, ditto (unless you LIKE to torture and kill innocent animals)
For a man to murder a man, we think "well jee, he's like me, so how could I kill another person. Oh look! There's a bird out there, let me get my shotgun!!"

I absolutely despise those who hunt for sport. ALL ANIMALS SHOULD HUNT US FOR SPORT, TOO!!

Compassion is feeling what a fellow being can through our actions, so with this feeling of oneness, we get the wisdom to make choices that bring more harmony with our fellow being and also our surroundings.

So the first step towards bringing peace and harmony is to become self aware, which is becoming sensitive or aware of our own pain and feelings which can give us the compassion to understand others’ pain and hurts, as deep within we all go through similar emotions when we are hurt or violated, be it emotionally, physically or even spiritually. Awareness brings us the understanding that what can befall on others can also befall on us, so we wise up immediately and make choices we want to experience ourselves, for example once we have ourselves experienced the pain of humiliation we will not humiliate anyone, unless we are insensitive to our own pain.

Without this compassion, we can even intellectualize our way to killing over a million people without a single glitch on your conscience or any feelings of remorse. The day we can feel the pain of a bird or a fellow human being we will no longer be able to cruel or insensitive to it.

Compassion when practiced is the art of making compassionate choice or simply choices that bring more peace and harmony to our surroundings and our inner life, and that is true wisdom.

It's speciocentrism! It's the same thing that people believe that only they have souls. It's the thought that humans are anymore special than all other life. Just wait until the space-aliens come to disprove this blatant provincialism. Or take a look at Jainistic philosophy or the reason why buddhists and hindus to some extent are vegetarians.

Because man is suppose to be made in the image and likeness of God and has a soul. A bird is not and does not have a soul therefore, a bird is considered prey.

Goes back to basic instincts.
man kills bird for food
There is no benefit for a man to kill another man so it's murder.
