putting religious and political views aside, do you think if a person had a choice by genetic engineering and/or psychology to change their sexual orientation that it would be justified to do so?

Isn't there a theory out there that if one has enough energy, they could create matter? If that was true, then God could've been a collection of energy at the beginning of the universe. Am I right?!

I'm not talking about the moment someone spurs you to do something now, now, more like the very thing we call now. Be creative here.

Why is it that humans are attracted to persons that are more symmetrical than persons who have a more a-symmerical look. is this an innate aesthetic appreciation. Is this true?

Since we remember our 'real' world when we sleep only as much as we remember our dreams when we are awake, how then are we sure that the world we know of when we are awake is the reality and not the world we know of in our dreams?

There is this girl who has been a good friend...she works with me...one of my friends told me that if you love a girl, make her feel special...I started making sure while I am around she shouldn't have to worry...I was always there to support her...I would wait for her at lunch...but lately I felt she was not comfortable....I aksed her and she wrote me an e-mail that "give me some space...one can not be in mood to talk, joke or party all the time...there is some problem which i wan to solve at my end and dont want to discuss..."

I wrote back..."That I inderstant that sometimes I crossed my limits. And that I will not interfere in her work, crack jokes or sms her any more...be happy"

To which she replied "Thanks for understanding.."

Now friends I dont know what to do...now I have distanced my self from her, but i am very unhappy...what to do..?

Our mother earth is contaminated by so many people that ruin our lives through ignorance...racism, religeous dispute, power hungry rulers, it does'nt end...I want us all to live happily without the cares of sensless people that gather rage and disaproval of others for petty means, but how?

...yeah, I know this question seems to be...deep...but I really need to know if others see what I see...

made popular by the likes of Robert Anton Wilson, William S. Burroughs, and many others throughout history- this theory suggests that there is some sort of universal power behind the number 23 (this is just one interpretation), and it usually has to do with disasters and/or chaos (connections to I'ching hexagram 23- "breaking apart", have been drawn.)

do you see any substance behind it, or is it just bull****?
