There are some people who do try to lead this life. Some are able to. Others are disrupted by the people who don't share this point of view.

People find everything a great boredom, especially things with so-called "expiry date". They don't see why they ought to follow a procedure to anything not compulsory to them.
Besides that, human minds make people different from each other. So, it isn't that possible that people can make peace with everyone in the World. Eg. Me (a Chinese student) and one other person (a German "Head-Of-Training" of my college.)

I tried to start a commune of people so we could just help each other out and not have so much stress in our lives, and all I got was people who took advantage of me. I'm pretty peaceful not that I got them out of my house.
Possibly willing to try it again, but I'd want to know the people better.

i dont know, i try to live as peaceful; as i can. i would blame cultural values as an instance for the greed that people have, but then again the root lies within the people to begin with and the peopel who propogate the issues, if people give other people what they want such as acknowledgement for their ill gains then they will continue on that path.

Generally, only three reasons:

1. They don't realize it is possible to be peaceful despite outer circumstances. They think their outer circumstances must necessarily dictate their inner state.

2. They don't know *how* to (i.e. They don't know it's a *choice*)

3. They don't want to (there's often a payoff to being unhappy)

this is most important problem of being a human. why can't we live peacefully.
to me the only problem why can't we or why we don't live peacefully is just becoz of our endless desires.
desire for money, desire for happiness, desire for to be success full, desire for to be like bill gates, desire for a good looking partner, etc. etc. without any end.
just think, if u from tomorrow can make ur mind and say to urself that, ok from today, all i will ask for is just what i need to live. do u think u can find any problem with life. and by saying that i mean all u need just to survive. why a village folk is much happier than a city folk. its just becoz a village folks' necessity or desire is much much less than his or her counterpart.
but can u, i or we do it?

God said that if you learned something to not keep it a secret, but to tell the world of it. So those who are standing up for what they believe in is what is causing the chaos; good or bad, depending on the person(s).
For example: a drug addict learned how to overcome his addiction, so he taught and made it his duty to tell others so that they can overcome their addiction.
