made popular by the likes of Robert Anton Wilson, William S. Burroughs, and many others throughout history- this theory suggests that there is some sort of universal power behind the number 23 (this is just one interpretation), and it usually has to do with disasters and/or chaos (connections to I'ching hexagram 23- "breaking apart", have been drawn.)

do you see any substance behind it, or is it just bull****?

Hah! I'm glad you asked this, because I wasn't aware of this theory....but I've always wondered about that number too. The number 23 has constantly been a big part of my life...starting with my birthday - the 23rd. And my daughter's birthday, also the 23rd, then my sons, on the 20th and 3rd respectively......and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I honestly don't know if there's anything to it or if it's just been a very, very big and unusual coincidence in my life.....I'm really only answering to once again thank you - I'm going to look into those names you mentioned now just for the hell of it!

I think everyone has their reoccuring numbers and 23 is the number of Wilson and Burroughs. I have my own 7 and 111. They pop up constantly and I make note of them because as weird as this sounds...I like them. I am sure that other numbers show up just as often as 7 and 111...but I don't notice because they are not my favorites. I am officially crazy now I know.

Great question

Alot of that happens to me revolves around the number 22 or 212...for some reason...but then I gain I look to see when they appear so I don't think they are..

I think that so many numbers come and go into our lives every single day that with things like lucky numbers of 23 enigmas, people make a point of looking for them or noting them when they happen and go wow! when they appear...so bull hicky is the answer

I'ching = Ichi-ing...I like it, me and confuscious are best buddies
