When GOD created this world he doesnt promise that this will be a heavenly world, where as he has given us the freedom to make this world heavenly, he taught us through prophets how to make this world peaceful and lively, but we human beings ignored his words and go on our own way, so the tragedy will be predictable only. Take the example of the Road Traffic, the authorities has given licence to drive freely, but you have to follow the traffic rules, let us say that we dont obey the traffic rules, then it is predictable that there will chaos everywhere and it will be hell right? Same way GOD has given us the free will and mind to live inthis world but has given rules to follow, when we do not follow ... .... u see what is going on at present.

I wonder if you mean that if we all chose a stand as a planet, for example, no one goes hungry.

Therefore, all governments, all humans, all would agree and enforce that every human had the right to eat.

This does not mean that we all "thought" the same. We all agreed that every human had a basic right, and it was carried out.

I could, and would love to see, a world where all fellow humans had the basic fundamental rights of health, food, shelter, democracy and freedom of speech. If this was true, and we actually came together as a race to accomplish this feat (so far unrealized), I could foresee a different planet.

If we look back just century, it boggles the mind to see how far we've come. The human race uses just 10% of its brain power, and see what we've done (good and bad...).

Imagine, with a humanitarian planet, and a focus for the common good. Almost anything is possible!

Only when we all think alike will there be peace. This will not happen, nor should it. We need to learn tolerance. not try to convert the world to our way of thinking.
I was abused as a child, and I will tell you from that perspective all I wanted was to be left alone. I did not want to 'fit in', or be liked.
If we could just leave people be who do not think like us, there would be more peace in the world. Not completely, because there will always be seekers after power, but many problems will be lessened, certainly.

u are speaking of a utopia. when will the world be perfect?

never. there have been many times when people tried making utopias. no sin, everyone is equal, everyone loved one another, but the fact of the matter is.....is that humans are innately evil and like you we question things. ur question is "how do we get rid of all the ignorance".....well someone elses question might be "why can't my race act superior to that race so we can control them for our benefit?"

humans think....humans are evil. there will always be dispute, racism, and power hungry people. just like u want all the answers....someone else wants all the power. same thing kind of but in a different perspective.

How is your life 'ruined'? You want others not to rage and disapprove, yet here you are raging and disapproving of others.

We tend to see and dislike the things in others that we have in ourselves. Use these observations about others to look at yourself. You can only 'fix' yourself, you cannot fix others. The 'others' are here to provide a mirror to reflect our shortcomings. When we are willing to see these reflections about ourselves, we can then work to remedy them.

So, other people's shortcomings are really just a means of improving ourselves.

Best wishes and good luck.

P.S. you can find an excellent discussion of this principle in Dr. John Demartini's book: "Count Your Blessings". It is available at Amazon.com.

Overcoming ignorance

Ignorance is a condition encompassing all aspects of life. Overcoming it is an essentially holistic venture exacting changes of a far reaching nature. Conquering ignorance is a deeply spiritual process. As such, this process cannot be described adequately in language. Its final condition is one of complete harmony with the Tao.

What follows is an incomplete list of a few important steps that can be taken to overcome ignorance, or at least to reduce it.

1. Expand your knowledge

The kind of knowledge referred to here is knowledge about relevant matters of the spirit. In spite of warnings that the intellect is not the main force in spiritual development, it nevertheless still plays an important role, particularly at the beginning of one's development. There are many things one could learn through reading or conversation. Through texts, one could "meet" many great minds, and learn from them. By discussing central concepts with more advanced minds, or with compassionate and wise friends, one could learn tremendously.

2. Kill your ego

Reducing the ego is essential. It is the source of too much suffering and delusion to tolerate. It is a tall order, though, for it could involve a total change in one's attitude and approach to life.

To learn more about dealing with the ego, go to the essay titled "Reducing the Ego: Strategies and Tips" at www.truetao.org/the way/ego.htm.

3. Become compassionate

The best way to start is to leave one's comfort zone and to become deliberately and actively compassionate. It is amazing how compassionate action can help to reduce the ego, and how it naturally increases wisdom in you. But it is essential that your compassion is not in the service of your own self. It must be true compassion, where the self has become unimportant.

To learn more about compassion, read the following essays:

"Wisdom and Compassion: Two sides of the Same Coin" at www.truetao.org/theway/wisdom.htm.

"The Tao Te Ching: Qualities of Compassion" at www.truetao.org/theway/ttc.htm.

4. Persist

Never give up. Remember that the path you have taken might be a long and strenuous one. You will need discipline as well as patience with yourself. And lots of faith.

5. Meditate

Find ways of disciplining and expanding your mind Make it part of your daily routine. It is essential that you learn to be in control of your mind and your thoughts.

For more information, read "Thinking: Winning the Battle of the Mind" at www.truetao.org/the way/thinking.htm.

6. Accept the mystery

As has been pointed out earlier in this essay, faith does play a part. Particularly at the beginning of your development, you have no choice but to tentatively accept certain premises in good faith. As you grow in spiritual experience, you will have ample opportunity to test these premises, and uncertainties will then become certainty. But the mystery of the Tao will remain, and faith will always be essential.

We can't abolish ignorance...just look at the grammar and extreme illiteracy of the people asking questions around here. You, chikn, are exempt. Displaying few grammatical errors and almost perfect punctuation, you are a shining beacon in this dark world of illiterate bliss.

We teach people. Its all we can do. If we throw them in jail and scream at them, it will make them bitter and angery. And they do not learn. We have to teach them, and show them what they're ignorance and hate does to people and their lives.
