After asking the question that: "Should both evolution and some kind of Supreme being* creating everything, both be taught in public school?"

*Not the teaching of any particular faith or religion.

I was given the following reply:

"when you start talking about a Supreme Being creating all life, youve brought
religious dogma into the arguement.

There is no religious dogma in evolution. Creation should be taught in religious studies courses, not in SCIENCE classes, because it has no basis in science."

So my question again is as follows: Is there any religious dogma in evolution?

Everyday, people ask, what do you do (referring to a profession), or what you like to do, but no one asks what have you lied about, when have you decieved a friend/family member, or when you felt so low?

See the following article: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14063446/

Needless to say, if the scientifically calculated timeline of the existence of these humans is correct, then the traditional Biblical timeline for human introduction to the earth is wrong. They definitely pre-date Adam and Eve. So what god created them? Were they descendents of the family of Adam, or are they a completely different branch of humanity?

Now PLEASE try to defer to the question itself (don't throw theological argument at the question), and answer it based upon the presumption that it is true. If the footprints truly represent humans from the Pleistocene period, who was their god? Did they have a god?

It seems doubtful that a computer-brained robot could develop true intelligence, but maybe; and it seems quite conceivable that, through genetic transfer, an ape's brain could be made larger, and the ape become quite well educated. Under such circumstances, must participation in human society including voting, admission to Harvard, etc. always be confined to members of our species?

Ignorants & the ideal of forcing such stubborness upon other people is what brings us down. Seperates us from our goal of slef improvement of humanity as a whole. It is a it is a flaw of human nature that we can over come, if we pulled together.
Do not confuse what i say of ingnorants with disagreement. For we all have the right to disagree. It can be on such large topics as politics &/or religion, or as miniscule as favorite colors. But when one side of the arguement stops listening to reason, & worse yet, begins to attempt to force thier views upon the opposite party is when it becomes ignorants.
So i come here to ask "how can we (you, me & anyone else out there) end ignorants. For i believe that if we can absolve that, then many other barriers that we face would fall easyer.

Stimulating Conversation?
Do you get bored with the same old conversations with the same people? Nothing ever stimulating to talk about! Have you wanted to have a "deep" philosophical &/or intelligent conversation (Sober or Not) and not had someone for it? You know, things rattling around inside without clarity or organization in need of a sounding board or response.
If you have/do, what works for you (besides journaling)?

How would it differ from what exists today? What would be of primary concern to you? Would a government exist? Taxes? More freedoms or fewer than we have now?
