Immortality... Never being able to rest. Always existing, an eternity of doing the samethings (boredom). If you had to pick between an immortal life or death right now what would you pick?

Doesn't it make more sense this autumn to put the clocks back 1/2 an hour and then call it quits? So in the spring nothing changes?

It's a story about they came for some group of people,"I" didn't speak up and it continues 'til they came for the author and there was no one to speak up as they were all gone. Can someone help me find it? I remember it as a challenge to be responsible to your fellow man.

I am graduating high school at the age of 16. I'm going to real estate school when i'm 18. In the meantime, I have 3 options:
1.) Get a job and work for 2 yrs
2.) Travel and have fun
3.) Get an Associate's degree that I'll probably never use

What should i do?

I know its ok to use one another in a practical sense like shop keepers and so on but why do people who are meant to be friends (and are still friends) have a tendency to be mercantile about relations. I thought people were supposed to ends in themselves, not means to an end.

Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.

"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.

"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied

The little boy again counted his coins.

"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies..

You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
