The meaning of a meaning and the purpose of a purpose is the usefulness of a concept. If you are not interested in being useful or working with useful thought then you can safely ignore meaning and purpose.

Meaning of anything is what you have understood whether right or wrong; the correct meaning is what the originator had concieved.
Purpose is what one intended to do; a plan or aim - Purpose of the purpose is with some other intention than the original or purported purpose.

Interesting question. What is the meaning of any meanings? Well...I'd have to say it defines/clarifies something - gives it meaning. What is the purpose of any purpose? I would have to say the outcome. To have a purpose, one must have an outcome or goal.

The meaning of any meanings is communcation.
The purpose of any purpose is to get something.
That was easy, I'm just glad you didn't ask about the purpose of meaning.

Contemplating meaning and purpose in such a way is to no end. Mearly accept they both exist, meaning and purpose, and try to live with both.
