so do u think people worship gods just to grab something...
tell people there's a guy in the town , who has got magical powers...people will rush to visit him
so is it just god's magical powers ......we people pray to god?

People believe in a supreme being that is higher than themselves to feel better. Then there is always something to look up when things go wrong. When people have this they can feel stronger in their own psyche and go on despite the odds. Supreme beings cannot be proved they have to be believed in, by 'faith'.

No not at all. Supernatural is something when we fail to understand the real think means about which we don't have knowledge.
People belive in God cuz there is God and have prove.
Read holy Quran then u understand the fact. i.e. " water" & "earth" both are mentioned in the Holy Quran. The number of words mentioned in the Holy book ( if convert in 100%) then it will exactly show the real quantiry of the ratio of water & earth.
Its not possible to measure by Mohammad ( peace be upon him)himself while there ws no computer that time. So Holy Quran sent by Allah. Its a scientific & mathematical prove.
So people belive in God cuz there is scientific probe.

People need Gods to explain the unexplainable mysteries of life. To get through the day to day boredom and not feel so alone and powerless. Life demands meaning and purpose and so our Gods need us as much as we need Them. Whether They or we exist or not is another matter. But might I suggest that anyone needing to assign that title to anyone or anything would be best served by praying for forgiveness, for the sake of others, and in heartfelt gratitude for all that life can bring .

I'm not a religious fanatic or anything. I believe in a god because it gives me some hope that maybe there is some greater power out there when life isn't going right.

He only asks that we obey him and follow his path for our life. People believe in God because they have faith and knowledge. They acknowledge God. They honor and respect God. I dont know that they have super powers. Maybe compassion is the thing, or were taught to have a conscious or something so we feel bad if we dont believe. I mean i know, yet i dont know.

I believe in god,I'm not sure if its because he can do everything? but not all humans are like that... some really believe.. it's like filling somekind of emptiness inside....
some for a good afterlife.... so on..... but it's human nature...demanding
