I have an idea of what it means..but clarify it for me please.. If someone says,"I dont mean to toot my own horn."..what is the meaning of that expression.

If some one say they don't mean to toot their own horn it is suppose to mean they don't mean to brag about themselves, however this is usually followed by the exact thing that they say they do not mean to do...

So I have decided that it means this is exactly what they intend to do, but they do not wish for you to think of them as self absorbed!
