Here is mine:

First, I come up with a chord progression.
Secondly, I make vocals to that chord progression.
Next, I come up with a way to finger that chord progression.
Then the other musicians (guitar, drums, then bass in that order) create their parts to the song.

I found that some people make lyrics first, or just start out with some riff they made on their choice instruments then build off of that.

What's your method?

According to this website: http://www.sing-like-a-pro.com/dangers_breathingimproperly.htm

These are the four steps to proper breathing:

1.Our diaphragms expand in the front, back and sides to hold incoming air.
2.Our pelvic muscles naturally lift up to support the expanding diaphragm,
3.Our backs extend downwards,
4.And our hips gently roll forward and pull our gluteus (bum) muscles together.

I can only make number 1 & 3 happen when I breath from my diaphram, but not 2 or 4. How do I make number 2 & 4 happen?

I just started to play the trombone awhile back, and I got a school one. The trombone case reeks thanks to the last user of the case, and I don't know how to clean it. If I can't clean it though, about how much is a new case?

I have played both piano and guitar, know basic music theories (chord, scales, etc), can read music but very slowly, have pretty good ears (used to transcribe guitar tablature a lot) but have little rhythmic sense when it comes down to reading from sheet music, and not that good at piano (pretty good at classical guitar tho).

Where should I start if I want to learn how to play jazz piano? By this I mean practical exercises, not so much theoretical stuff. Now all I can do on the piano is to play some songs becasue I had basic trainings in piano techniques, but I can't construct chords other than ones in the scale of C. I also know but can't play scales other than C smoothly. What should I do to be able to play jazz piano?

I'm 15 and trying out for my schools musical The Pajama Game. This is my first audition for anything and I'm super nervous. I've never had a vocal lesson, but I've been told that I have a good voice, and I'm hoping its good enough to get me into the chorus, at least. I sing Alto or Soprano.
Qs-
1. How do I support from my diaphragm, or how do I know I'm already doing this?
2.Any confidence-boosting ideas? I have low self-esteem and I need to keep myself optomistic for this.
3. Song ideas so far:

My New Philosophy(You're A Good Man Charlie Brown): A cute, quirky song but I'm afraid there's not enough singing for a one minute or 32 measure audition.

Take Me Or Leave Me(RENT): A huge risk I don't know if I should take. I can hit the pitches but I'll be nervous

Happily Ever After(Once Upon A Mattress): I love this sng, its a great range. but we did it last year(I was on tech crew)?

Any other song ideas?

Thanks so much!

I have a piano recital coming up really soon. I practiced a LOT for it, but I am still nervous. I had feelings that I might mess up badly, or even forget the song. It is a competition. Anyone have to tips to make me confident for this event?

BUT, how do they go to the loo? I've never seen one slope off into the bushes or anything!
