Many of the have died within the past year or 2 after being alive since before 1930, many are still alive. The mother and grandmother of them all is still alive. Funny the kennedy compound where many of them live and where they all vacation is right down the street from me. maybe i should just go ask them.

I've read about wars between rival nations for territory, and how this nation gave up so much territory because it lost the war. The Romans made an empire, the Mongols made an empire, the Ottomans made an empire.

But today you don't have countries going to war with each other and taking each other's lands. No countries are making empires today. And nobody tell me the war in Iraq is really a war, it's just a series of skirmishes.

When did the conquering stop and boundaries became absolute?

Aparently you can find this magic lines by using doubting sticks, they are in the centre of stone circles...and once you have found this magnetic field you can ask it questions. It dates back to about 300 years ago and there a books which contain much, i stress, belivable information. At first when I heward of it I thought what a load of rubbish! can anyone explain more, someone who may follow this "cult" more closely.

This was a loosely organized, semi-underground group, quite widespread throughout Germany, mainly consisting of 14-to-18 year old males. They evaded inclusion in the Hitler Jugend, and occasionally engaged in street battles against the HJ. They also aided deserters and draft-evaders in WW2. In 1944, Himmler ordered the Gestapo to go after them: as a result, at least thirteen were publicly hanged.

I read once an edict from the Pope in 1020 began it for those in northern Sweden and Anund Jakob led an army in 1050 north, but is there proof this is when it started or was it a century later in Finland? Keep in mind, the northern crusades, not middle east.

Hello from the UK, I was wondering if the American people see Jack Ruby as a good guy as he killed Lee Harvey Oswald, who himself killed a popluar leader?

Would it be a bit like someone having assassinated Winston Churchill then being murdered themselves, as a British equivalent? Sorry if this is a poor comparison but I'm not exactly the shiniest tool in the box! Just wanted to know whether I have it right that JFK- good, LHO- bad, JR- good.

Thanks

I haven't been able to find much information on the Gutenberg Bible. I have found out what it was printed on and stuff like that but my question is:
What were the effects of the Gutenberg Bible on society (for that time)?

If you can't answer this particular question please throw in any info about him that I may not have yet. Thanks :)
