During the "Boxer Uprising" (1900-1901) German both were part, with 600 marines and 300 sondiers, to the "( nations alliance", created to free the foreing ambassies in Bejing. After that a expeditionary force was sent to China to squeeze the rebellion, and was not able to take part to the main fight, but undertook some punitive actions, like plunder, looting and so on , obeying to the Kaiser Order : "Make the name German remembered in China for a thousand years so that no Chinaman will ever again dare to even squint at a German.". Commander was Count von Waldersee.

Well, kind of.
Germany was a member of the Eight Nation Alliance that sent troops to quell the Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901) in China. Germany's contingent included 5 warships and around 900 men.

Nope, never did. Japan did starting in 1934, I believe. That invasion continued on through WW II. The American Flying Tigers were organized to help defend China just before the war. China and the USA had a very good relationship during the first half of the 1900s.

My guess is that never - but dont count me as expert. As I remember from history lessons, they were on Allied size on Worl War I. and they fought with Japan (which was with Germany) on World War II. - but they never fought directly, I guess. Try to read the sources below (but well they are very long)
