Could someone explain to me the cause of the hunger strike? I know that 10 men wanted Britain to consider them citizens, but thats pretty much all I know. Could someone explain to me the 1981 hunger strike starting at square one?

For a school project I must make a timeline of a certain period of US History. I chose to focus on World War II but focus mainly on the US's War in Asia.

I'm having some difficulty researching, I can't seem to find an straight answer to this: What was the start of US's War with Japan?

I'm going a bit beyond than Pearl Harbor, but I don't understand the background of the Sino-Japanese War and Japan invading China.

I heard that it was to appease the Bolsheviks (such as Trotsky) and get them to side with the Allies after the revolution, but the dates don't seem to match.
