Is it possible to fully eliminate war from the earth, or is war an unavoidable disaster? Perhaps war is not only unavoidable, it is necessary for the advancement, if not sustainment of humanity... please be as elaborate and complex as you wish.

Im reading a book (Simon and the oaks) which is set in Gothenburg during ww2. Theres a text in the book which says that while they were sitting in the kitchen they heard the anti aircraft gun going off and as they ran outside they saw a German plane crashing into the sea. This to doesnt seem to add up because Sweden was nutural during the war and surely wouldnt want to risk being invaded. Or am i wrong?

I know that the Balfour Declaration of 1917 partitioned off the Ottoman Empire and gave certain land for the jews, under conditions. Who can tell me how long the jews had been gone, and what the conditions were? Were these conditions met?

At my university we're having a whole week devoted to the American Revolutionary War. There's going to be a banquet where everyone has to dress up. I really don't want to dress up like everyone else (an indian, a frontier girl, a housewife, Betsy Ross, etc....) Do you have any creative ideas? I want people to say "Wow, Paige. I never thought about that." Tell me what you think!

I saw a programme about a 1500 BC building in Ireland which was so built that the rising sun shone directly into the main cult place on 21st December. Well, I thought, it's not often you get clear skies there at that time of year! So it must have been a lot sunnier when it was built. But then, maybe it was just the prehistoric mindset: like those desert drawings in South America, maybe it wasn't important whether it could be seen by human beings, because it was a god's eye view that counted. What do you think?

Explain manner in which the French settlers befriended the Huron Indians, Were Huron first to become friendly with them. I know the French did use a better technique from the beginning than the united states settlers by not ostrasizing their practices of sexuality etc. or saying their evil like the Puritans did. But did they offer them gifts. If so what sort?
