One theory that I heard was that he died in the streets of Berlin fighting the Russians, there were many soldiers who allegedly witnessed this but the NKVD (Russian secret police) killed/assassinated most of them so that Hitler wouldn't become a martyr to the German people.
Supposedly he left the bunker with a group of bodyguards/officers to make an appearance at a few of Berlin's many defensive positions and to rally the troops in the defense of the capital. As Hitler was visiting/inspecting one such position the Russians attacked, he was unable to escape to the safety of his bunker so he took up arms and was subsequently killed in action. The German troops upon seeing their beloved Fuhrer fall in combat rallied and temporarily pushed back the Russian attack, Hitler's body was retrieved from the battlefield and returned to the bunker where it was hastily cremated. Eva Braun was so distraught when she heard what happened that she killed herself and was cremated next to him. Again- this is only a theory that I heard from an aging German WW2 vet (now deceased) who even admitted that it was a rumor being circulated among German troops at the very end of the war and was not based on any facts-just word of mouth. It is possible that this rumor was started by German troops to make the death of their Fuhrer and Germany's defeat a little more bearable.

He didn't want to be caught by the allies alive. Anyway, he married his mistress Eva Braun and they committed double suicide the next morning. He shot himself in the head and she drank poison.

He shot himself, just as the allies were getting close to him.
After many attempts made by people to kill him, the only way he died was by a bullet, everyone else used bombs.
