Nicholas II was deposed and killed during WW1. He was the last tsar.

No one was, The last Czar, Nicholas II was assassinated in 1918 in Ekaterinenburg by the bolsheviks. There was no legal successor to the throne, since Russia had been declared a Federation of Republics after the 1917 October Revolution which overthrew monarchy.
