Why has India struggled in achieving peace, democracy, and economic succes?

For peace, i know its mainly religious conflict between Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs but if anyone knows anything then that would be great

No doubt Hitler was a war criminal of the worst kind, but why does Churchill escape criticism, when he too ordered mass murder of innocent civilians by giving orders to bomb the German city of Dresden in the last stages of WW-2, when it was an established fact that Dresden was not a military target?

Hey there, wondering whether you can help. I'm a British student (so forgive me if i'm not up with American history) who needs to do a short essay on the Civil Rights Movement between 1945 and '61. Basically all I need to know is what did JFK do for Civil Rights? Oh am I right in believing that he was after Eisenhower? I have got the notes somewhere but it's Saturday morning, i'm lying in bed and can't be arsed to climb out and go through my bag. I just need something short and sweet, thanks. x x x

I ask this question because I agree that it steroetypes Indians, yet it stereotypes them as brave warriors. And also, on top of this, how often would people (Non-Indians) think about Native Americans if it wasnt for these team names subtly reminding us. In so many ways, it is a reminder of the Native American past...both the strong, brave side of their culture as well as the extermination side created by European explorers.

most every other culture seems to have managed it, especially over such a massive area. There are so many benefits to having a written language...it's almost inconceivable not to.

i am v sceptical bout things like this i beleive in what my senses tell me to be correct such as smell sight touch ect. and if he is real (im sorry for doubting) why is there so much devistation in the world if he was powerful enough to create everything why cant he sort this big mess out (even a little bit) im only 17 and i have come to the conclusion he does not exist only in peoples hearts and minds but if u could please give me answers to help me believe i would be very greatfull

I was in the army but to young to go to vietnam our Aussie boys were ordered to go they say we lost ,now we have both good and bad vietnamese immigrants here now at last our boys are recognised for their heroism .If we lost the war what happend that we are not afraid now?
