Achieving Peace; India is situated on the centre and is surrounded by enemy borders. Example; Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afganistan. It will be hard for india to achieve peace having neighbours which india was once at war at. It can be done but it will be done slowly, no matter wht peace one day will be achieved but the question now arises is when?

Democracy; Like any other developing countries, democracy form of government is very hard to control and automate as education factor in these nations are pretty weak. How will democracy work when the majority is uneducated people, they dont know how to think correctly (the will involve personal emnity)and how to regulate the system. I m not saying tht India is illitrate, as a matter infact, India has one of the highest levels of education but this education is not wide spread, it is not evenly distributed. For a 1 billion population, only 45% of the total population has proper education, the rest 55% of the population rely on others. This 55% of the segmentation creates uneven, unbalanced form of government. Especially in India, we can see government rise and fall easily, bcs the power is in the peoples hand, but is it worthed? well, this can only be answered by Indians but my personal own opinion, this type of system will slow down the advancement of the nation.

Economic success; well, this factor really is connected with the government and the system. How will we expect foreign investors to invest when the government of the nation can collapse easily? the perfect example would be Indonesia. Indonesia once became number 1 in the history of the world to advance rapidly from 1980-1995. They achieved huge success backed by foreign investors due to iron hand rule, The great Suharto's regime. Though they practiced democracy then, but the system was hold by the iron hand not with the people. They achieved success and victory, the indonesians became known for its rapid success. After the downfall of the iron hand, the Suharto's regime, now indonesia is in crisis since 1996. The nation is going backwards day by day due to total democracy, power rested in the hands of uneducated people and suprisingly the world especially America backs democracy form of government. Foreign investor doesnt want to invest due to fear of government collapse. We can see demonstrations everyday, mostly paid demonstartions. The result, i find Indonesia in better hands in the past then now. Sometimes i think tht other nations doesnt want these nations to grow bcs once they do they will be a competitor to them in every aspects.

I personally believe tht democracy is well situated in nations where there are a majority of educated and skilled citizen. How will a nation advance rapidly when it is filled with uneducated citizens, it can be possible but the process of achieving success is very slow.

Peace and Economic succes is all related closely with the system of government.

Check my site out. India is peaceful by all means. The amount of violence between groups is very small (the last big example was in 4+ years ago.) Further proof of this is that India's leaders come from a diverse community, not just Hindu. They are Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, etc.

I`m 59 and most of my life I have been aware of India struggling...it doesn't look as if they will ever achieve peace they are certainly no closer now than they were 50 years ago.

For an interesting bit look up Deoband or Deobandi. This might give you an avenue to explore about Hindu/Muslim/British relations in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Democracy doesn't work due to fear and bribes and general laziness. Economic success again due to laziness and much difficulty in earning money.
