It was called World War II right after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Until then there were separate wars going on in Europe and in Asia.

Logically it has to be later or atleast the towards the end of the war (though the end might not have been predicted then), because, communications was not so advanced/good those days, and it would have taken some time for each other to realise that many countries are at war !

It was called that at the time. I've seen footage from about 1944 calling it WWII on the History Channel. However I don't know if it was called that before or after the U.S. entered the war which was much later than the other countries.

Yes. But prior to WWII, the war from 1914-1919 was know primarily as "The Great War." It did not become World War I until WWII.

Your question is the two hideous and fully untrue. The King and Queen have been enormously seen in Britain for the duration of the 2d international conflict, such because of the fact the early years of the conflict, while Britain, tremendously much on my own, had to combat against the Nazis. in line with risk you're complicated our monarchy with some eu monarchies, who fled their international locations..

It was called WWII then and now. My father-law was in it and that is what it was referred to then and now.
