My friend and I would like to learn how to ballroom dance. Does anyone know of any place, or where I could find a place, that teaches that? Thanks!

I am a dancer and Russia has produced many famous dancers. I am unable to find any dance colleges in the U.S...hence Russia. If you know of any dance colleges (not performing arts) please tell me. Mostly I dance ballet...

I have done ballet for a while and at my school you have to do a year of pre-pointe then pointe. How do I now when to go into pre-pointe?

I understand that you have to dance on the tips of your toes, so don't put that. I started ballet a few weeks ago and want to know what the difference is because our teacher always says "if you were doing pointe you would..." I also was curious if you used differnet music for pointe that you don't for ballet and if males can do pointe because I've never seen a man with pointe shoes on. And please no smart-alic answers.

okay whoever diagrees with me on dance being a sport(no I am not talking about ballroom but that can be hard I am talking about Jazz,ballet,lyrical,hiphop,pop, stuff like that.)you can be sure you wont get extra points lol. okay so I have been a dancer for about um..... going on to my tenth year. Everyone but my dance teachers, dancefreinds,and brother disagrees with me and I want some other peoples oppions. I know for a fact that dancers work as hard as a football team. I also know we dancer hate it when people don't think we work that hard or dance is not a sport BEACAUSE IT IS!!! (sorry) all I want to do is rip the head off of every person eho disagrees with me lol. okay knock yoursellf out!!

This question is open for both males and females, however it is usually said that females do this most often. Is it true ladies, (and guys too) that based on your ability to dance reflects how good in bed you are?

Personally, I have not found this to be true (I don’t dance) and other girls that I have been with – some of them did not dance either – but they were fantastic lovers! Ha Ha! So what do you think?

I have found a school that offers stripping classes in Hamburg but I am really looking for one that offers pole dancing. I also haven't been able to figure out the exact translation for Pole dancing when searching on the web which could be part of the reason I haven't found anything yet.

I am a trained dancer. I did my undergraduate thesis in modern dance. I am an aerobics instructor. I CANNOT DO THE SPLITS. it has bothered me for years that i'm just not trying hard enough but omg no matter how warmed up and how much i try i feel like my pelvis is going to split in half. can some people just NOT do the splits?

Has anyone felt so... spiritually connected while they danced that the whole time they were on the verge of tears, and they were having chills?
I felt like that when I danced today. It was extremely beautiful. I was in my basement alone, and nobody was watching, It was a dance about my fight with my weight, and my wild stallion spirit being.. well set free.
