I am a dancer and Russia has produced many famous dancers. I am unable to find any dance colleges in the U.S...hence Russia. If you know of any dance colleges (not performing arts) please tell me. Mostly I dance ballet...

Communism is the past.
I recommend to learn Russian. Altough it is trendy to speak foreign languages, not everybody speaks English. Don't know schools. Good cities would be Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk.

And don't worry - if they told you there are bears on the streats - it's lie ;-)

There are actually plenty of dance academies here that produce a fair amount of great ballet dancers. Do more reasearch and you'll find that out. An alternative to going to study to Russian completely (I mean, do you even know how to speak Russian) you can enroll somewhere here and apply for a year overseas. It's very common here and the only thing you need to do is find a college/academy that does that.

If you really want to go to college in Russia, forget about communism and have a great time. I love ballet too.

Go to Russia. Learn to speak Russian! The experience will be wonderful and it will enhance your life.
