I'm 17 and my girlfriend loves to dance (and is good) however I've never danced before. Experience = 0. She tells me I have rhythm and that I believe (used to play an instrument, I'm often taping to music), she tells me I have control over my body (a gentlemen never speaks of what happens in the bedroom), however what I don't know is WHAT to do... If I knew what moves to do I could practise them, but until I know them I can't even practise.

If you answer at least include one or more of these, if not I will report you for not answering the question:

a/ Do you know any dance moves that you can try and explain? Body, legs or arms, seriously pretty much anything would help, the basics... Have you seen the film "Hitch"? I need more advice like that ^^

b/ Do you know of a website (other than bust a move) that might have what I'm looking for?

Don't just say:
"Move to the music"
"Feel the music"
"Just enjoy"
"You have a mental block" (false)

I know all this,
Thank you,
Bobly

But she doesn't want to start in a class with little people who are better than her! Is there such thing as a private ballet lesson? And do you think there is one available in our small town?

What would you like to see the most? why? I think that Swan Lake is tops, but Giselle and Romeo and Juliet and La Bauyadre are great too.

My girlfriend loves dancing and likes going to clubs... But I don't dance... Don't get me wrong, I love the music and I'm fine with the idea of dancing, I just don't know how to dance... I really want to learn though, because she really means alot to me and I know going dancing together would mean alot to her. She tells me I have rhythm, and that I can control my body, which I am fairly confident with, the thing is I don't know how to move my body, which way to move it, what to do... x.x
People tell me to watch Hitch ^^ Which I've now seen, I need that kind of lesson but extended...
We go to clubs in the South of France, playing music like David Ghetta, Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, basically a catchy tune with alot of bass, not RnB and not Techno, kind of an intermediate.
Anybody know any websites that have tutorials or lessons for the basic moves? Any personnal advice? I just want to learn the basics, then I'll ask my girlfriend for help :)
Thanks all,
Bobly, 17, France

I'm a 20-something woman who hasn't taken ballet or jazz lessons since I was about 9 years old, and I'm looking to start again. Ballet, hip-hop, jazz....anything like that is what I'm looking to learn. Since I'm starting over after so long, I don't want to end up in a beginning class full of little kids/teens. Where can I find adult lessons (on a budget) in the Salt Lake City area of Utah?

I don't have a pole, so a dvd won't work for me. I'm not looking to work at a strip club; this is just for fun. I haven't been able to find any sort of Pole Dancing classes anywhere in Utah. Anyone know where I can find a beginners pole dancing class or private lessons?♠

Being a dancer, I have had many comments about whether women like men in tights. All of my girlfriend haven't seemed to mind and for some it drives them crazy. Just interested in an opinion.

I'm joining a group of belly dancers in a few weeks since it is something that will accentuate my muscular body while allowing my slight chubbiness to also be accepted. I'm rather confident so showing it off isn't an issue. But do people find that attractive? I can't tell. Sometimes I see really scary bellydancers! o_o

I have never danced on a dance floor in my live save for one instance at the 8th grade dance and on a cruise ship; on those occassions, I only did one or two line dances (which I don't really remember now). I love music but don't know how to dance. I feel that dancing would be the final step to opening myself socially and to being able to find girls/a gf.

If you have any suggestions, "moves", websites where I can learn/see some moves to try out, or other comments, please let me know. I'm a fun person to be around, and can make people laugh and have a good time, but when we run into a DJ, I just sit down and "guard" their seats/purses/jackets/etc.

Thank you in advance for your help!
