I'm joining a group of belly dancers in a few weeks since it is something that will accentuate my muscular body while allowing my slight chubbiness to also be accepted. I'm rather confident so showing it off isn't an issue. But do people find that attractive? I can't tell. Sometimes I see really scary bellydancers! o_o

Anyone can be a bellydancer. Keeping this in mind, I have seen hot bellydancers, and not-so-hot bellydancers. Hell, I once saw a woman who was about seven or eight months pregnant bellydancing. It's quite a diverse dance.

I do belly dancing too but I don't think so it has relevance to being hot. But I believe belly dancing may make others hot when you do the flexy-sexy movements. It's a great muscular exercise though. Go join.. have fun and enjoy!

I'm a girl and I'll turn gay for a belly dancer. - hehe - I think they're beautiful and the dance is sop spiritual and sexual. I would love to learn it myself. I too have a little chubby belly and it would a fun way to lose it!

My oldest neice started taking it up and 5 years now she was sleeping over and she put on a show for some of her friends and the family and after wards she came over to me and asked me if she was hot? I put my hand on her belly and said YES! LOL we both laughed at the answer but we both knew the answer yea it was hot!!!

Yes, belly dancers are hot after vigorous dancing: it is excellent exercise.

I also enjoy bellydance, and I have also seen the way too much belly bellydancer. The important thing is to remember that if they enjoy it, that is all that matters. Please don't ruin it for someone else because you think that they are too big to wear the midriff bearing dress.
