ANY info at all on the glossary of ballet terms,ballroom dance,etc.I'ld really appreciate it.

I also recommend Eliza Minden's book "The Dancer's Companion" it's about ballet.

I can give some pointers on ballroom only.

There are 2 directions: competitive ballroom and social ballroom. Competitive is subdivided into Amateur and Professional.

If you've never done it before - I higly recommend watching a Ballroom dance competition in your area. For competition schedules check out www.ndca.org and www.usabda.org

Don't know where you live, but hop over to your nearest dance studio and check out some of the dance magazines. They'll give you lists of information, and more lists of places to find information.
That's a huge field you have chosen! Good luck with it...

there are distinctive songs that I hear to that are dance/pop so i circulate with Ke$sha nicely suited now. i'm listening to a number of the songs that are from her latest album now. a pair songs to look up are ... Die youthful C'mon Blow We R Who We R Take it Off additionally The wanted are great. They sing "Lightening" that's a fave of mine.

i suggest you search proper dance sites for your research. it can get quite messy asking here, and you won't get full long essay-type answer.

there are lots of dance styles from different ethnic dances (chinese cultural, indian classical, flamenco, blablah)
to folk dances (mongolian, and what other countries)
to basic genres (ballet, jazz, hiphop (oldskool and newschool), tap, ballroom, latin, modern, contemporary)
to commerical dancing.

it's a very vast genre, you can visit www.dance.net to see all listed genres. =))
and do your research from there.
take your time, and let us know when you have it done... :D

i dont dance but i kick *** in research, start with the history, focus one cutlure or place. then let everything else unravel, that way you have a strong and complete understanding. i also have a friend in germany that does all sorts of dance would you like her email?
