Well pre-pointe is usually for the students who are ready for pointe. Ask your teacher and ask if you are ready. Just as general rules if you can hold passe releve for 30 seconds without wobbling you should be okay to start pointe.

I started pointe when i was ten. It's not about age, it's about the strength of your legs. You will get stronger during pre-pointe, so don't worry about it to much. Ask your teacher, she know's the most about you, and she will give you the best answer.

i do not truthfully believe so I were dancing for 7 years earlier than my ballet instructor even viewed striking me on pointes or even then she stated i used to be nonetheless two or three years clear of it. such a lot of my peers went on pointe in 1995 however they have been older than me and were dancing for much longer and my pleasant pal were on pointe given that she was once 12 and he or she was once 17 on the time. i finished classes whilst she moved after which she learned she was once anticipating so the institution closed. I don't suggest that you just pass on pointe till you believe certain. arches may also be elevated with preparation and that i recommend making an attempt a few barre paintings in a swimming pool that is how i constructed my force. to be effectively in a position for pointes my instructor stated you need to have powerful ankles, very powerful knees and quadriceps muscle groups and a powerful again i do not believe even after a 12 months of categories that you're in a position for pointe everybody is special even though. irrespective of how clearly proficient you'll be and regardless of how rough you preparation if you do not believe you're in a position then i do not truthfully believe you'll take care of pointe for those who would not have the boldness in your self. all my peers instructed me that it was once particularly complicated. I'd have your guardian or authorized father or mother speak it over together with your instructor given that for those who pass on pointes too quickly it might probably finish your profession and pass to a shoe retailer and get the opinion of a certified pointe shoe more healthy. the fundamental factor to recollect approximately pointe paintings is: whilst you do it thoroughly it appears lovely and easy however for those who pass 'up' too quickly you would critically injure your again, quads, knees or ankles and it would even effect in being constrained to a wheelchair. i'm really not looking to discourage you i'm looking to support by means of making either side of the photo transparent..

Your teacher is going to reccomend you. I was a ballet dancer for 13 years. I started on pointe when my teacher thought my ankles were strong enough and my technique was good enough. Good luck! Ballet dancers are awesome!

I started pointe in 6th grade because my teacher said I was ready. You should really ask your teacher because she will know what is best for you!!! =) You also have to be responsible because if you don't take care of your feet, you can do serious damage. Pointe is sooo fun though!

It depends on how fast your feet grow and how strong your ankles are. But like the others said check with your teacher because she is the one who knows best and can determine when you can go on pointe.

When your teacher says you can do it is when you move up. Your teacher is the best one to judge when you are ready.
