And if you've had yours popped, on a scale from 1 to 10 how bad did it hurt? 10 being the worst.

stretch!! definitely.

your muscles are amazing, amazing things.

i could not do a split at all, then i started taking a dance class and stretching every day and in a month i got really, really close to being able to do one, and last time I took gymnastics, i was about seven (just to show you how long its been since i've done anything remotely like that)

you can do it!!

no sense in hurting yourself on purpose when you have an opportunity to take your time, condition yourself and improve your patience.

Good luck!

I really have never heard of that and it doesn't sound pleasant. I mean if your legs are forced into a split you're bound to rip your muscles. Splits come over time because each time you stretch you become more flexible. The only way to get a split is by repetition. This takes more than a few days.

Always warm up before you stretch.

Don't get them popped. Work into being able to do the splits. Try to go further down into them every day. And don't bounce, this can damage your muscles. And make sure your muscles are warm before stretching, take a brisk walk first or something, cold muscles are more likely to get injured.

that's annoying to declare for particular, however the main considerable reason you stretch in the previous excercise is to attempt to realize the main suitable variety of joint action attainable, and that has been shown to avert harm. it must be that your joints formed devoid of adequate variety of loose action to allow you to excercise the form you do once you start up getting in contact in activities, so as that quicker or later there should be some differences, and greater effectual that or no longer that's whilst stretching slowly than from performing some severe wellbeing midsection ordinary. yet, you will heal, that's in basic terms a be counted of doing the superb issues: food plan, warmth as against chilly, the superb excercises. there's a type of wellbeing care expert that may no longer a wellbeing care expert that specialises in this - called a Chiropractor. they won't be actual high priced and don't prescribe pills, yet then you somewhat get what you pay for with them too.

Go for the stretching. When I was in gymnastics...just starting out, I really wasn't that flexible, but now I can bend every which way. It just takes a little while.

You should stretch at least twice a day maybe a week before you do one. If you do one without stretching it will HURT and you WILL tear something.

...?

that's like asking if you should pull your eyes out of your socket and clean them, or get contacts and risk tiredness from heading to the eye doctor. only my version's far more exaggerated.

well, steching's good for you, and it'll make you feel better in the long run and all-around. popping your legs isn't good for you, and will hurt like mad.

your choice. ;)
