I want ones without a lot of sex or violence. Unfortunately that eliminates most chick lit and mysteries. To give you an idea of what I am looking for, the authors I enjoy are Earlen Fowler, Dorothy Gilman,Penelope Stokes,Richard Paul Evans, Peter Mayle, and Ann Tatlcock. Any suggestions?

Also, if you can, please list the titles of all Jackie Collins' books. I have about ten of them, so I would like to order the rest of her collection, but I don't know which other books she has.

Oh, and, could someone please tell me the difference between a paperback book and a hard cover book, is the only difference the covers themselves? Because I've read some books which had "For the first time in paperback" type of disclaimers, so I was wondering what's all the hype about this?

I'm looking for something similar to flixster.com (movies), where you can mark what books you want to read and then say if you liked them or not and write a little blurb about it. And also read other people's reviews.

Sr High?
College?
On your own?
What did you think?
Are you looking forward to the movie?
What do you NOT WANT in the movie? (Like rock soundtrack, love story, side-story about someone else, near-teenage hero--all that junk.)

The book is set in the Revolutionary War. It's about a young girl that is in a village and the British soldiers take over her town and home. She dresses up as a boy and smuggles messages in a loaf of bread to the wigs. I read this book in elementary school and it was an old book then. I really enjoyed it and would love to read it again. I've looked all over the web and even contacted my elementary school library. Does anyone know the name and/or author of this book? Please Help!

The title for the whole thing: The Awakening. It's not the title of a single book, it's the name of the ENTIRE LEGENDARIUM (a la 'Forgotten Realms' or 'Middle-earth'). If you think names determine anything, give your opinion.
