Why did Ginsberg HOWL? For something or against something?

What musical illustration should I choose for a presentation on "Howl"? I'd like to put in some music that was typically rejected by Ginsberg or this generation. Can U help me?

I don't think Ginsberg or his generation were against any particular music.
