I need to write a book about my life. Basically how I felt and how hard it was for me when I came from my native country to United States.
How should I start writting? And also, what should I write exactly?

I really need someone's help because I've never done this before.
Thank you so much for your effort <33

I'm writing an essay on how Emma Bovary doesn't find true love. Emmas quest for love and happiness is a main focus of the novel. I'm struggling to come up with examples(textual support) on why or how Emma doesn't find true love. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I greatly appreciate this, thank you! I prefer the poetry is among the classics, but contemporary poetry is welcom e as well..! Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book to me. I'm almost done reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I'm really into history and mystery, but this is a new genre that I have just entered. Before I was reading books involving vampires and witches, or non fiction books about places. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It was probably written in the middle to late 60's. It was about a bear and a mouse, who lamented on how different they were. One liked to ride his bike fast, the other slow. One liked loud music, the other soft etc... This went on until they discovered they both loved to eat Ice cream. Then the decided to get together every afternoon, to eat ice cream together. The drawings were done in muted shades, of mostly brown and green. Do you know the name of this book, and where I could purchase it? I would love to be able to share this story with my 2 small nephews, Kyle and Logan.

I'll love you till the day I die
But honest to God, I wish I knew why.
You never talk, you make me cry,
You never even say goodbye.

You walk away and leave me silent,
Darn, it makes me feel so violent.
You turn around and hug me tight,
As if to make it all alright.
Then carry on your merry way,
And there's nothing I can say.

I'll love you till the day I die,
But Lord Almighty! I wish I knew why.
You never talk, you make me cry,
You never even say goodbye.

You always think that you are right,
Which never fails to start a fight.
I yell and scream and start to swear,
And you just stand there! Not a care.
Then just as I hit a full on belt,
You give me a kiss that makes my bones melt.

You never talk, you make me cry,
You never even say goodbye.
But I'll love you till the day I die,
Honest to God, I'll never know why!

You make me laugh, you make me sigh
I love you but I don't know why
You never talk, you make me cry
You never even say goodbye.

You're happy to go for walks on the beach
But even then, you're out of reach
Your beautiful eyes, so distant and cold
Sometimes it makes me feel so old
And then you look at me and smile
Somehow that makes it all worthwhile.

You make me laugh, you make me sigh
I love you but I don't know why
You never talk, you make me cry
You never even say goodbye

You never call when you say you will
And so i sit and wait here still
Then you'll appear, out of the blue
And demand to know if my love is true!
Sometimes I wonder if I'm wasting my time
In this effort to make you mine

You make me laugh, you make me sigh
I love you but I don't know why
You never talk, you make me cry
You never even say goodbye

Maybe it's all the little things that you do,
That makes my love so endless and true
Like when you phone in the middle of the night,
Just to make sure that I'm alright
Or when I awake to find you there
Things like that let me know you care.

So even though you make me sigh
And you never talk, and you make me cry
Even though you never say goodbye
I love you, and I'm pretty sure I know why

The technological singularity is approaching. What science fiction books do you recommend for the purpose of mentally preparing for, and affecting, what according to singularitarians like Ray Kurzweil may happen during the coming 40 years or so? I want science fiction that treats issues on the coming continuingly accelerating technology development and its political consequences, stuff that is interesting for humanity's development; paradise engineering scenarios as well as disaster scenarios. I want the kind of hardcore, science-based but still mind-blowing science fiction ideas that singularitarians say may be relevant to our political (and also individual) decisions in our REAL life the coming decades.

PS Anyone tempted to answer that I shouldn't rely on science fiction if I want to prepare for the future, please google "technological singularity" and read about it first!

We all know that kids don't read a lot today. A lot of the people here do enjoy reading, but I have to admit, a lot of you here are only here because they "forgot" (Didn't want to read it) to read their book and need help for writing their book report. The only time the kids around me read is when they are forced to do it at school. They don't take advantage of their ability to read and simply lie down and watch TV all day. I mean, it's not like you have to read all the time, but you still should read often. One example is that the kids on my bus simply don't read books because they are too long. Still, they only read the books because they have to have a book to read in Language Arts. So, why do you think they don't read as much and what do you think we can do to solve this problem?

Thank you!

She lay in the dark
Listening to her tumultuous thoughts
They weren’t thoughts of anything in particular
And perhaps some might call them fanciful
But they were her thoughts
And no one else’s.
She lay in the dark
Watching the shadows sway and swirl
Dancing soundlessly, gracefully around her room
They weren’t frightening, though certainly not friendly
But they were her shadows
And no one else’s.
She lay in the dark
Allowing her soul to wander free
To go where it wished and do what it would
And she never once doubted it would return
Because this was her soul
And no one else’s.
She lay in the dark
And felt the hand of her lover
Leave a burning trail over her cool skin
She left her thoughts to themselves
And left her shadows to their revelries
She left her soul still wandering free
And turned into his caress
Because this was his body
And no one else’s
For now…
