I know about off line stuff I can do like making posters, bookmarks, etc... but where can I advertise online? Any site postings would be good.

I've been through every book of poetry I own, yet nothing seems quite right. Any suggestions? Title and author? I like folks like Leonard Cohen, e.e. cummings, Robert Creeley... but at this point I am not fussy!

This site is great. Based on the theory that HP is based on alchemy, the site gives you clues concerning the 7th book in the series and tells you the background story and all the hidden meanings of Harry Potter, the mystical symbolism and everything!

Their analysis of the story is so deep that it amazes me.

What really happened to Sirius? Will Harry die? Will any of the 3 amigos die (h, r, or H)?
Will she get it out on time? Will the title change, or is this final?

I am reading the book, almost done with it. I dont understand the whole historical point of it, but it is funny at times. I dont see why it won some award. What did you think of the book?

Obviously they have vegetables, because in Dragonflight there were some served to Fax. Obviously too, though, there can't be vegetation of any kind--even weeds--near people, because of Thread. Do farmers just grow their crops in an area separated from residences?

I mean Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986) whose "Collected Fictions" (tr. by Andrew Hurley) I'm going to compare to his "Ficciones" (tr. by Anthony Kerringan, et al.). In the meantime I'm reading his biography in the Wikipedia web site.

I bought this as a gift for someone without really knowing much about it. What are your opinions on it? Would you think that an older (early 50's) woman with a great sense of humor would enjoy it? Thanks in advance for your help.

This might be a difficult question to answer, not even my friends can answer them. Well, I know how odyssey is pronounced, but let's say I had to explain why it is pronounced as it is to a ESL student, how would I do that?

the 'o' is odyssey is pronounced as 'awe' and the 'd' is easy to explain, but HOW do I explain to 'y' and that it is not pronounced as 'why' but 'eh' (or something) as in 'did'?

And in 'Iliad' I can easily explain that the first 'i' is pronounced as 'ih' and not 'ai' when not followed by an 'e'. But how can explain the sencond 'i'? It sounds like an 'e'?

Does anyone think that books such as the ones listed above, and Series of Unfortunate Events, etc..are overrated? That they'll have a sort of a 'book popularity fling' and within 15 years or so, nobody will even recognize any of them?

Maybe Harry Potter and a few others will survive, but I'm doubtful for the others.

What I'm trying to ask here is, is our generation of writers not as good as past generations?

Steve Perry who writes for TV and movies now wrote, I think a 7 books series based on his first novel THE MAN WHO NEVER MISSED and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can obtain the entire series in fairly good condition?

Dieing thrice,
Quadrice,
Qintice,
An agony of perpetual death.
Sitting here writing,
And plundering time,
Sinking in quick sand,
And burning in lime.
Futile yet docile my efforts now seem,
Working out futures,
In reem after reem.
For joy 'tis but fleeting,
And sorrow, sans weeping,
Lives on like a flame,
Still flickers, still glows.
But the passion for joy,
This drug of the sences,
A hope for some wonder,
Some fun and some life,
Keeps winning, keeps grinning,
With rapier it fences,
It fends back the pain,
And the sorrow and strife.
