I've read this one and the one that came before it, I think. I didn't know there were other books in the series. Unfortunately I found the book so horrible it was fascinating. I mean, I couldn't put them down. So, if you have a strong mentality, I suggest you read them. I advocate victims who make themselves heard...whether they're victims of child abuse, sexual abuse, racism, etc... If you are a willing witness, then that will make a difference.

Its very good. I read 3 of them and I think there is a fourth one but I'm not sure. The first 2 are so sad. It's unbelievable anyone could do that to a child. You will want to go out and buy the second one the minute you are done with the first--at least I did.

Yes, the sequels to "A Child Called It" are even better than the first, in my opinion. You have to read "The Lost Boy" and "A Man Named Dave" in order to find out the real conclusion of the heart-wrenching memoir. And if you enjoy "The Lost Boy", I would strongly recommend you to read "The Privilege of Youth" which is about Dave's adolescent years with new-found friends and their misadventures (something like "Stand by Me"). But you have to read the sequels or else you'll just feel frustrated because the first book is very very hard to digest without reading its sequels.

I've read the whole series and it is sooo sad! It's probably one of the best series of books that i've read, though. If you like A Child Called It, you might like Jodi Picoult's books, they're kind of along the same lines. I've read My Sister's Keeper and this other one that I can't remember the name of, but they're amazing!

The series is good, not as powerful as the first book, but well worth reading. :)

I liked the first book better than the second -- the writer tends to repeat a lot of the material. Both of them were fairly depressing however.

Yes, I've read all the books. Wow, they were kind of hard to get through though. Sad. My boyfriend thought I was crazy for reading them, he was like, how can you read something like that, it's horrible.
I can't believe mother's are actually like that.

My girlfriend wanted me to read it, but I did not like it! The book is just a sob story, and it didn't make me re-evaluate my life or anything! Reading this book is like reading about someone kicking a puppy: cruel and pointless.

It is so sad and depresing, it will rip and eat your heart. If you are 13 and over it is a book that will be bound to make a difference in your life.
