The poem should rhyme and it should have onomatopoeia, alliteration, and assonance. This poem should be creative.
For example you can use poem "the raven"
it should be at least 15 lines long
and just think of an event that can use making fun of.

I am writing a book called Hoofbeats, about a princess who is in love with a peasant blah blah blah. She resigns from her reign of Royalty to marry the peasant and to escape her abusive father, the king. So anyways, she goes to the peasants house and stays there overnight, her mom (also the queen) comes to the peasants house and is beaten up, says it is from the king.

Then the queen gets into an accident riding her horse, everyone is fine, but the horse is mysteriously changed into a unicorn, so the king, queen, princess and peasant take horse to vet of the village, and the vet puts this stuff on the horses horn that hides it from"unworthy" people, like people the unicorn doesn't like, and the king cannot see it, so he threatens to kill the unicorn b/c it doesn't like him yadda yadda yadda.

So in order to save the unicorn and themselves, the peasant and the princess run off, get lost in woods, beaten up by horse bandits, etc etc.

What do you guys think? Let me know please!!!

My Dad has just retired and wants books to read, but apart from liking Stephen King, Dean Koontz and James Herbert, he really doesn't know what else to read. Can any one suggest any books by similar writers?

I bought some books at a yard sale for my little boy, rare books that I couldn't pass up. But I don't want him to touch them until I get them cleaned up. Seems like I read in a magazine years ago about putting them in a microwave, anyone heard of this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I heard of a literary genre that they call "erotic literature", a collection of short stories and poems that I personally call vague and superficial, what do you think, do you call it literature?

How would you describe the mood of the dr. heidegger story or the atmosphere conveyed to the reader?

What elements in the story "Dr. Heideggers Experiment" make the mood similar to or different from the mood of "The Fall of the House of Usher"?

The story was about a society where all the people who aren't mentally and physically retarded are artificially made retarded, in order to make everyone "equal". This is done by attaching weights to their bodies so they can't move easily, forcing them to wear headphones that make painfully loud noises to they can't think easily, etc. The story focused on one man and woman, and their son who is a criminal because he is incredibly handsome and intelligent. They see him on TV one night, and he breaks off all the chains that the government of the story has disabled him with, takes a ballerina who is as beautiful as he is, and begins to dance beautifully. Then some government people come on camera, shoot him and the girl, and act like it never happened. It ends with his parents not even remembering him because of the impairments the government has put on them.

The story was sad but really deep. I read it in one of the Junior Great Books. Does anyone know the name of this story??
