As far as I understand, Juliet was about 13 or 14. And Romeo was about 17. Seems like a big age gap, but back then it was pretty normal.

I am fairly certain that Juliet was 14 and Romeo was not much older. Maybe 17.

I remember hearing that they were about 15 or 16. Too young to be that serious.

Young enough to think that killing themselves over their families not wanting them to be together is the answer. In other words too young and too immature.
