If you haven't, you should. It's basically a story of how women are stripped of all rights and used as breeders. I found it a little disturbing. What did you think?

What are the best magazines / websites to send work to with the aim of getting it published? I write semi-fictional short stories with a humorous tone & am trying my hand at a bit of science fiction too.

you won't be break any laws without knowing you'll get caught.

Maybe this is a good thing? Or not? What do you think? Am I over exaggerating?

I'd like to have a biography done... not just for myself, but as a book available to the public.
I'd prefer not to speak about why, but I am quite confidant it would sell well.
I am not (currently) a celebrity.
Does anyone know how I could seek out a biographer?
Thanks much,
Apple

There is a book I read when I was in like fourth grade. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the name of it is, or who it's by. I remember on the cover there is a boy riding a bicycle down a school sidewalk, and he is riding it towards the sky. If I remember correctly in the book he ends up passing away in a bike accident. Can anyone PLEASE tell me the name of this book. I've been thinking about it for the past 2 months!

I bought an old book from goodwill. How can I find the value? I have already went to "Borders" and other book sites. I can't find this exact book. I can only find newer versions. The book is titled "The Art of the Exposition" by Eugen Neuhaus. It was published in 1915. In this book the pictures have been glued into t he book. Does anyone know if this book is a "find" or "just another old book?" What are some websites I can go to to find the value of this book? Thanks

Started searching the book "Timeless Voices" and found some fishy things. Please see my first question for more info.
http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/BlackRose/
claims that she also had a poem published and her work is on the front page in her copy. In my copy, my poem is first.
http://www.lulu.com/jspinner62
also claims to have a poem published but I can't find it anywhere in my copy.

And to top it all off...
http://windpub.com/literary.scams/ripoffs.htm

I found all this within minutes...why couldn't I have looked sooner?
Don't I feel the fool...

My new question now is...has anyone else been "had"?

Years ago I read a fiction novel that was metaphysical. I remember there was a term for that type of book but I can't remember it and haven't had any luck finding it. I'm interested in fiction books that have psychics, magic, witches, ghosts, reincarnation, ouija, scrying and the like. Not so much the vampire stories. Does anyone know what this type of book would be listed as? I have searched Amazon with no luck. Thank you all in advance for your intelligent answers!
