You choose solitude and it's usually temporary and, it is refreshing and relaxing. Isolation is negative however and is a separation and really damaging emotionally and mentally if it's permanent.

Solitude is choosing to be alone for intellectual or philosophical pursuit, and therefore is enriching and stimulation to the mind. A mind in solitude is reaching out to the world. Isolation suggests being totally alone without constructive pursuit. Isolation deadens the mind.
Hope this helps!

Solitude is something you choose, and you need it to breathe and get stronger in a way or another, whereas isolation is imposed on you by others, it is similar to indifference. People act as if you are not there, and that a very negative thing that can 'kill' you. That's my interpretation...

I think it means that being alone is good as long as it's partial and self-chosen (that's solitude)--but a person who is completely removed or isolated from other people will end up being miserable.

Solitude is chosen, as for reflection or meditation, which can lead to wisdom and enlightenment; but isolation is imposed and is stultifying, destructive.

It means solitute, being alone, makes life vivid, but isolation kills a person so in other words it is your mental state which protects you. You can be alone and your mind can make things seem great or fine, but you mind can also make you suffer and grieve from loneliness, understand?.

Maybe it means, you have to take time out to take care of yourself, but if you do it too much and cut yourself off completely from the outside world, you might as well die.
