Started searching the book "Timeless Voices" and found some fishy things. Please see my first question for more info.
http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/BlackRose/
claims that she also had a poem published and her work is on the front page in her copy. In my copy, my poem is first.
http://www.lulu.com/jspinner62
also claims to have a poem published but I can't find it anywhere in my copy.

And to top it all off...
http://windpub.com/literary.scams/ripoffs.htm

I found all this within minutes...why couldn't I have looked sooner?
Don't I feel the fool...

My new question now is...has anyone else been "had"?

The information relating to my question is further down on the pages of the links I gave. No, I'm not trying to sell anything.

Sorry for the confusion!

Of the three links you listed only the last one made any sense. I do not mean to be rude and I get what you're saying it's just that the first two are a bit bizarre. The second even looks like you are the one trying to sell something. It was the last link that made me believe you were being serious.

It's just a common sense thing really. Everybody want to be some grand this or that but sorry, not everybody can or will be because they just aren't. It's for that reason that true genius is appreciated....because it's rare.

Don't feel like a fool. Everyone gets had by someone or something at least once or twice in their life. It just happens, even if you're really careful. Don't beat yourself up about it. Keep working on your poetry. Just because I said it isn't for everyone and not everyone is a genius doesn't mean that you're not one.

For all I know, I 'm speaking to the next great poet of our generation. If so, I'm honored. If not....guess what? I'm STILL honored. To have the courage to express yourself is an admirable trait. I respect you for that!!!

Ersabette,
This type of scam happens allot more than people
would ever think! I have filed a lawsuit with ,(a poetry /literary.) I can not mention the name of these folks.. So please bear w/me on this... there are many ways that you could be scam ed.through this venue. Please , I urge every writer to COPY RITE ....It's so easy to do .And It ensures that your writtings will not be stolen , left out of books. I could offer a solution ..... Donot publish with folks that ask you for $ cash $ in advance. .as so to get your work in the first of their book... feel the fool, I dasent! for I believe you where very brave by getting your work 'out there!!! For all to enjoy!

thank you , be sweet ,
Ms. Kate

My son was almost had by Poetry.com. He wised up when he began to do the math. He really is a very prolific and brilliant poet, but unfortunately, there is absolutely no market for poetry any longer...
