My son Stephen was diagnosed with hodgekins desease cancer in March this year. He finished his chemo and radiation in Sept and has since returned back to school where he is in the debate team. In october, I was diagnosed with two blocked arteries in my heart. I went through a successful coronary double heart by pass surgery on nov 2nd. I want to put these experiences in book form to offer inspiration, encouragement, trust and love in the lord and how someone can be blessed too.

I'm looking for a book from my childhood that was about a girl who goes to live with her aunt in an old house. She finds a doll hidden inside a wall. Either her name or the dolls name was Emily. There is some mystery as to how she got there but I believe she belonged to the aunt and had gotten lost when the aunt was just a child. Very good story for 4th graders!

Im writing a basic 5 paragraph paper on the novel "Out of the Dust" by Karen Hesse and i'm having trouble creating a thesis statement/sentence mostly because im not to sure how to create one. It has to be on the conflicts the main character, Billy Jo ( girl ) faces throughout the book.

Heres what I got so far:

In the novel Out of the Dust, written by Karen Hesse, Billy Jo faces many conflicts including catching her mother on fire, horrible dust storms, and having to adjust to a life with a new mother.

Does the format of that look right and is it set up how a thesis statement should be? If not please tell me what I did wrong and if you could, include an example.

Thanks much
-very confused student-

If you are familiar with ECOTOPIA (written by Ernest Callenbach, 1975, and his pre-quell) YOU will know of what I ask. If not ... start reading ... this "Literary Classic" focused on by University/College Utopian Studies courses.

I have to write a critical analysis on the book that I have read. Do you put actual quotes from the novel into the critical analysis? If so would I just put the page number at the end of the quote without the authors last name?

There was a question just now that asked what this character looks like. What character? There are many...or this one...'I need math help'! No problem to solve, though. If the problem was there I could probably solve it, but it's not. Why do people keep asking questions that make no sense or that cannot be answered?
