1. Taking the word of a white man over a black man, even though it's doubtful that the black man commited the crime. I'm sure there's several little issues in there, but that's the biggie that comes to mind.

2. And the little child shall lead them...kind-of. How would you feel beating up a guy in front of his kid??? Just some of my thoughts concerning that issue.

3. Humans love controversy.

1. The trial (Tom definitely didn't do the crime, however he was found guilty)
The belief that the man was drinking alcohol because he married a black woman
The different treatment Scout, Atticus, and Jem got after their daddy decided to do the trial
The way Aunt Alexandra treats Cal
The reason Aunt Alexandra comes (to try to convince Atticus to quit being lawyer for Tom)

2. Scout makes them feel bad for trying to beat up her dad. She is so innocent and small. She talks about his son and makes him feel sad.

3. Everyone wants to know what is going on?

1 The black man just had to be guilty, though he wasn't.
The white man had to be drinking 'cause he married a black woman.

2 Scout turns them from a mob into humans.

3 Just 'cause they didn't support Jim doesn't mean they were heartless...some, of course, just came for the show.
