I dont understand why a book with great themes should be censored. Whats the point? There is nothing wrong with this book that isnt shown on the news or other books.

I just love reading about crime, criminals, corrections, law enforcement, etc. Are there any good books you would recommend? I have a degree in Criminology, so I don't need any basics books, but I would love some more advanced books!

I have to write a 2000 word term paper for my college level brit lit 2 class. The paper must be about some aspect of british literature from the 1800- to the 20th century and with a focus on feminism/ feminist revolution/ or feminist ideas.It is not suppose to be a synopsis but rather a specific thesis paper. I have read all the required reading i am just at a loss now as to what my topic should be.

I have a collection of short stories and poems that I have titled "Love, Sex and Truth" and each poem or short stoy relates to one of the subjects in the title. I need help in getting pointed in the right direction...any suggestions?

I bought the book at a yardsale. It has no jacket and no little paragraph, blurb, thing on the back/ inside cover to tell what it is about. I really don't like reading a book without first reading that little summary paragraph. The one person I asked that could answer me, wouldn't, saying "Let the book take you where it goes". If anyone has the book with that little summary, then please type up EXACTLY what it says, and if you don't but you can pretty well explain it, then that works too. Please don't tell me anything important about the book that would spoil it. I just started reading it and I don't want it spoiled, I just want to know what it is about.

I'm looking for some good books for gifts for a few people in my family. For my brother and father I need a few good mystery/horror books. They like Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Nelson Demille, but I need books by other authors because they have all their books already.
