Stephen King wrote The Mist in 1980 which is one of the short stories in a paperback book called The Skeleton Crew. You can get it from Amazon. They are currently making a film of the book.
James Herbert wrote a book called The Fog in 1975, there is no film of this.
The film The Fog released in 1980 was written by John Carpenter, it was not based on James Herberts book at all although the storyline has obvious similarities.
No book is available on John Carpenter's film.
They are three different stories, written by three different people all about pretty much the same horror Fog thing.

The Fog is not a King story. However he did write one called The Mist that is available in hardback, paperback, and audiobook.

Altyernatively I assume you maybe looking for a novelisation of John Carpenter's the Fog, in which case try the cinema store or vinmag, amazon would have one for the remake of the fog.
