My son Stephen was diagnosed with hodgekins desease cancer in March this year. He finished his chemo and radiation in Sept and has since returned back to school where he is in the debate team. In october, I was diagnosed with two blocked arteries in my heart. I went through a successful coronary double heart by pass surgery on nov 2nd. I want to put these experiences in book form to offer inspiration, encouragement, trust and love in the lord and how someone can be blessed too.

Don't worry about a publisher yet. First write the book, or at least get a good start on it, even as notes and thoughts on paper and maybe on tape.

If it has a Christian spin, there are a bunch of Christian publishers who might be interested - Scripture Press, Zondervan, or David C. Cook for instance. Your local library has a book called Writer's Market that tells you book and magazine publishers' names, addresses, phone numbers, contact persons, what they might pay, what they want to see first (usually a proposal if it's a book), etc. (There's even a Christian version of Writer's Market.)

Ask the reference librarian if there's a good writing group in your area. Sometimes being part of such a group is a great way to get feedback, critiquing, proofreading help, and info on places to send your work.

Best wishes! Post more questions as you move along with your project.

Buy a copy of the book Writer's Market. It lists publishers.

You could self (vanity) publish it. I imagine a mainstream publisher wouldn't buy it because of the limited market. Try lulu.com or something similar. Get a copy of Writer's Marketplace.

BTW, you might consider thanking medical science for saving you, not God.
