Everyone wants to write a novel...but should somebody who truly has the gift of being able to write, JUST able to write a novel? Isn't it just instinct for a writer? I know, I am a writer, and I have never sat down and asked " How do I write a novel?", I just do it. I don't bother with all of this planning and character mapping.

I mean there are always techniques to learn, and classes to take to improve your writing, but shouldn't a writer just know how to write and not have to ask how to?

Somebody- Ashlyn

For once in my life,
I feel like somebody,
Not who I used to be,
A wary placid life,
Where no one knew me but the mirror,
In the lake,
I’d cry for a solution,
A resolution to change me,
But all I got was execution,
Through your words,
Somebody that’s what I am now,
not a invisible life,
Somebody.

A few years ago my mom, aunt & I read a historic romance that we loved. It was so funny and hot. Unfortunately, in our "idiocy" we didn't keep the book or remember the title or author. All I can specifially remember about the book is it was set mainly on the ocean and instead of cussing they said "God's balls" and "God's nightgown". If anyone can point me in the right direction to find this book or tell me the author or title it would sooo appreciated. Thank you.

Visiting New York 7th - 18th Sept 06. Wondering if there are any bookshops worth visiting (ie which sell a selection of pop -up/movable books, preferably old/out of print books as new titles are easy to find). Also wondering if there are any rare book collections/exhibitions on show containing pop-up/mechanical books. Any other ideas would also be much appreciated

This was the first of a series of books I think. The wolves had individual characters, story told of their adventures trying to meet up in this ancient place. I remembeer a female wolf had an important part to play. It was about 7/10 years ago that I read it.

I am writing a semi autobiographical novel but found myself a little reticent detailing the bedroom action over the years. My tutor said write what you know and having read my first draft he's invited me out. Apparently I haven't grasped his indicative mood but in a perfect future he will have helped me enormously.
