For once in my life,
I feel like somebody,
Not who I used to be,
A wary placid life,
Where no one knew me but the mirror,
In the lake,
I’d cry for a solution,
A resolution to change me,
But all I got was execution,
Through your words,
Somebody that’s what I am now,
not a invisible life,
Somebody.

Hi Ashlyn. Thanks for sharing your heart with us. I am so glad you feel like somebody because you are. I spent a lot of my life thinking no one even knew I was alive. Your poem spoke for me too.

It's alright. When you say 'a wary placid life' It confused me because you said before that 'not who i used to be' Because you went from discribing who you were, to how you lived. The same thing happens at the end.
