I could finish an average length novel in a day, I'm not sure how many pages that would be? The longest book I finished in a day would have to be one of the latest Harry Potter books, I read them each in a day so whichever is longest.

I have no idea how many in an hour. On a good brain functioning day, it is much more than a day where my mind is blank and I can't think. Ya know?

I usually read a page a minute. So that would be 60 an hour. However, some days I will only read a few pages all day. Other days I will read all day and end up reading a couple hundred pages.

For me it depends on how interesting the book is. I once finished an 800 page novel in 5 hours. But in general it depends on the person. Everyone reads at a different pace

I started to answer your question thinking you were asking about writing & I was curious to see how the vievers responded. Now I am guessing you want to know how many pages we read.

It vaires considerably. If I am really involved at work then I can barely fit any in, but I love to read & always read before bed, so on my busiest day (if I am in the middle of a fabulous book, great plot, charachters, twist etc (the kind of book that I would read from cover to cover in a day (if not swamped with work & kids----I get in atleast 50 pages.

If it a non fiction-self help type book then it takes me longer.

I am writing a fiction manuscript so most of my spare time is focused on writing & research-reading my topic. I am also reading quite a few "how to" books right now, "How to find a literary agent" "How to prepare a book proposal" "how to write a good queary" etc. + reading(re-reading books by my favorite authors) and doing writing exercises, so it varies so much.

It is 7:45 a.m -have not been to bed. I read for 6 hours & have been writng for 3. hope that answers your question

You mean reading? I can finish a "good" novel in a day.

Writing? I have finished as few as 5 and as many as 60 in a day.

it's according to print size . if it's a really good large print novel i will finish it in 2 days max . i will read 40 to 50 pages an hour , large print but i can't make that kind of time with average size print , so I'm sure you can double it for normal will be about right because i am older & my sight is not what it use to be . i hope this helps.

Depends on the book. I do 50 pages an hour: i can tell time by it, but as for the day... A book, if it's good. Then I read it again.

Reading or writing?

I can finish reading an entire novel in a day, the first book I read in a day was the "Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood.

Writing is much slower. I can only write 20 or so pages a day.

Pages a day??? I can read a normal sized paperback novel in a couple of hours. I hate that because if it a good book I want it to last.

Reading fast isn't all it's cracked up to be :(
