But I'm talking about new stuff, not the old. A writer who writes in more comtemperary times but with that noir 30s, 40s, and 50s type style. Like a modern day Dashill Hammit (I think I spelled that wrong but oh well). You know something like that.

Its called >sucidal thoughts<

Why Read a story about my life when you could be living yours? Why have you chossen to read about my life what makes it so interasting to you that as of right now you chosse to read this.
You are one person just as i was. The difference between you, and the world at this very moment is that you are reading this sentence. Others may read this and yet there will be others that will never want to.
My life was no different then yours. I lived and i died just like you all will that have read this. Death is the closet thing you can come to real freedom. Its one fast way to get rid of what you have on earth. Why get rid of what you have if you having nothing or no one. That is what makes you want to get rid of life itslef. Not the fact that you or I lost five hundered dollars. Not the fact that you lost your son in the war. The fact that should make you want to die is when you look around you and see nothing. You see the wall for what it is...you see......

Have any of you writers done a thorough investigation of the various fiction-writing university workshops available? (I know University of Iowa has a very highly regarded program--is their summer workshop good?)

Better yet, anyone attended a workshop recently? Feedback?

Someone online suggested that to me, but here’s my dilemma: I s*ck at writing (I think, my personal opinion) & my grammar is horrible. Would it even be worth wild for me to pursue?
