Nonsensical inkblot dribbler,
Babbling crayon scribbler,
You don’t care about art, do you?
Oh fountain of horrible Haiku.

Worrisome wobbling meddler,
Cornball muffin fluff peddler,
Simpleton rhyming, Keystone Kop timing,
Butt jokes, eye pokes and then miming.

When will you ever get serious?
These puns, they make me delirious,
I want to hear more about politics,
Not you and your friends and their hockey sticks!

Our most highly respected scholar,
He’s downstairs playing cards for a dollar,
His pen, a burden unbearable,
And mediocrity, oh so terrible.

Can anyone analyze the poem " A Sad Child" by Atwood I need it for school. IT counts as a semester exam and I have no idea what to do. I need to include literary devices. If anyone could help me out that would be great. I will put the poem below.

A Sad Child

You're sad because you're sad.
It's psychic. It's the age. It's chemical.
Go see a shrink or take a pill,
or hug your sadness like an eyeless doll
you need to sleep.

Well, all children are sad
but some get over it.
Count your blessings. Better than that,
buy a hat. Buy a coat or pet.
Take up dancing to forget.

Forget what?
Your sadness, your shadow,
whatever it was that was done to you
the day of the lawn party
when you came inside flushed with the sun,
your mouth sulky with sugar,
in your new dress with the ribbon
and the ice-cream smear,
and said to yourself in the bathroom,
I am not the favorite child.

My darling, when it comes
right down to it
and the light fails and the fog rolls in
and you're trapped in your overtu

I have this picture, of a stream, snow covered trees, and sun going up or coming down in the dark background. It's an oil painting and on the bottom right it has a name and I can't figure out who painted it, some say it says Kratz or Kraft or kraintz. I have checked several sites and no one has a reprint of it so i can see who the artist is. I know it is about 20 years old.

I read Admiral Morison's work, "The Struggle for Guadalcanal," but it's too naval-oriented. I need one history that interweaves ALL the phases of the campaign--land, sea, and air.

Thank you for your help!

Besides the domes, which is essentially a big greenhouse, I haven't really gotten to a really good shooting location...I've only been shooting photos (and not just snapshots) for about half a year, so don't be too harsh...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/12389378@N07/page1/

Check the first two pages-the one with the plants, wavy lights and dogs (although feel free to look at other photos, too). The dogs might've been a little blurry 'cause it was overcast and they were moving fast, although that probably won't be much of a problem when viewing the images small.

Please give me some feedback and advice (preferabely from experienced photographers).

Also, for more info, I was using a rebel XTi, handheld for all, with a regular zoom lens 28-90mm f/4.0-5.6 (I wanted to get it cheaper so I just took my 35mm lens off and changed them) no IS or USM or DO or anything fancy like that. Mostly on monochrome, aperature priority AE, average shutter speed=1/60.
Thanks

Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne'er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.

Not one of all the purple host
Who took the flag today
Can tell the definition,
So clear, of victory

As he, defeated, dying,
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strains of triumph
Break agonized and clear!

I was wondering if anyone has gone through this system. I have been scouted a couple of times by them. My mom always declined, but we have been talking about it lately. Last time they scouted me I was given a business card. I do understand that this is not an agency but i was thinking that i might go through them. They help you out to get ready for the world andhelp you find an agent. They also do your required headshots and such. I am interested in being an actress and/or model. I was wondering if anyone has gone through here before.

Here I am,
16 years old,
killing myself to get good grades in school.
I'm under immense stress all the time,
and have at least 3 hours of homework,
and still do horribly.

But, we, as mankind waste so much time.
We kill ourselves for 14 years in school, to get a high school diploma, to apply to a school, where we will kill ourselves to get a simple piece of paper that says, "So and so went here for an education."
WONDERFUL.
Now, the lucky ones, get their dream job! They manage to bring home the bacon, and maybe even get married!

A few years down the road, we have grey hair now, our marriage has went from love, to companionship about children, and 50 percent of us are on our way to divorce court.

Oh, and let's not forget our dream job, which we now hate, and has turned our passion in life to crap in our hands.
Then, our death creeps up on us, taking everything we worked hard for, and make it nonsense.
GREAT.
Life is a moment of happy here and there. Why care?

Using Photoshop, what is a good way to color-correct digital photos that are too yellow. I know how to use the 'Auto-Color' feature so that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for how to really use the Levels, Hues & Saturation, and Color Balance, etc. I tried compensating the yellows by increasing the blues, but that doesn't work best. Any other tips?
