Were they the new Americans? or were they second generation British? or were they a mixture of a lot of differant nationalities? and are they an army of occupation? Ive read all the Anita Blake books and all the Merry Gentry series too. So I know her style pretty well. So then my husband asks me what Im reading and I tell him and he says "You might like Harry Dresden then" and he introduces me to the Harry Dresden series, which are great

Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden is similar to the Anita Blake books. It's almost like I cant put my finger on it how they are similar. Sort of a similar style of dialog. I find they often use the same exclamations and phrases. For example, when in big trouble both Anita and Harry use the phrase "*** deep in alligators" they both describe and think of guns as 'toys' and there are often guns given as gifts.

I read up on it and I guess LKH gave JB a hand up when he was a struggling writer, after they met at a fan fest. But how many other writers must she have met? Probably lots.. does this seem likely?

Could they be the same person? Thoughts?

I would love to do something like set design, or even some directing, but how likely am I to get a job. I don't expect to go to Broadway and make hundreds of thousands of dollars or anything like that. Just wondering what kind of opportunities might be available on a smaller scale?

I auditioned for Godspell about a week ago. I am really excited to see what part I get!!!! I have light brown hair, blue green eyes, and 4'11 and 105 pounds. I'm also 11 years old. I'm pretty loud, fun, and kinda tomboyish.
Here is my theatre experience:

Goin' Buggy!- Lead Ladybug
Elfis and the Sleigh Riders- Reindeer
Aladdin Jr.- Kazoul
Once Upon A Mattress-Lady Rowena

So, as you can see, I havent had too much sucess with getting good parts... Anyway, at the audition I sang "Many Moons Ago" from Once Upon a Mattress. I thought I sounded pretty good, but the director didn't stand up and cheer...
Anyways, what part do I deserve?

I'm seeing Phantom of the Opera in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theater. I was wondering how different the location makes concerning the performance? Any differences or things to know? How nice a place is the Palace compared to say New York's stable show building? Thanks,
