Thought this poem I found was nice; could someone give me their thoughts on it? Maybe I'm missing something. (pipe character denotes a line break)

David Ignatow, "I Killed A Fly"

I killed a fly |
and laid my weapon next to it |
as one lays the weapon of a dead hero |
beside his body—the fly |
that tried to mount the window |
to its top; that was born out of a swamp |
to die in a bold effort beyond itself; |
and I am the one who brought it to an end. |
Tired of thr day and with night coming on |
I lay my body down beside the fly. |

I thought it was about trying to better yourself and the humility of failing. Can anyone give maybe more insight into this one? Thanks.

Please settle a bet. I say that horses are not native to North America, and that European explorers first brought horses to America. Or maybe they came up from South America?

Anyway, my friend says that horses have always been on North America, long before explorers or the first European settlors first arrived.

Who's right? Sources are appreciated. Thanks!

i just moved into a new class right when they were doin quizzez over the storry. i need help from people who know this story well.
10 points to the best answere. and keep them comming!!

1. discuss the role of the explicity comic characters---sir toby,
sir andrew, Feste, and maria. what function do they serve? how is each one different from the others? and Feste himself, how is he different from sir toby and sir andrew.
my answere so far: well feste i know so far is a drunker and a womenizer.

2. (this ones touph) what role does malvalio serve in the play? does his fate really seem unjust?

3. paying particular attention to the fate of malvolio and antonio, how deoes shakes bring a happy ending to the story.

4. compare orsiniao and olivia, and discuss how their attitudes about strong emotions are similair or different.
what does shakesphere suggest about the nature of love and other powerfull in his portrayel of these two characters?

I took a picture with my camera today, however, while the picture was being taken, my hand was not holding still, resulting in a blurry picture. Is there anyway i can make the pictureclearer by editing it, or using any programs? thanks!

I'm trying to find primary sources (political cartoons, articles, or personal statements) from the time of the Cold War from both sides. Finding US ones is easy, but does anyone have any idea where I could find USSR ones? The difficulty is largely in needing translated ones, as only English is going to help me.

Apart from anything else - isn't it the most easy site to navigate - I don't know who designed it, but I think they should be given the Nobel Peace Prize don't you?

And if anyone complains about this question - then you really have no idea at all what this world is all about.
